Agnes Tibeyita Isharaza, who has been the Company Secretary at DFCU, has been appointed the new Corporation Secretary for NSSF replacing Richard Wabwire who sometime last year was appointed Judge of the High Court. Long-serving employee Isaac Odong has been holding the position in acting capacity. The recruitment process has been prolonged and protracted whereby three finalists faced off in interviews conducted by HR consulting firm ABS. In the end, of the three names ABS consultants sent to the Board, Isharaza was rated the best and her name was sent to Finance Minister Matia Kasaija for ratification. After consultation, Kasaija is undetstood to have signed off Isharaza’s instrument of appointment effectively making her the next CS for NSSF ahead of MD Richard Byarugaba’s blue eyed boy Isaac Ogwang who some in the top management had for long been perceiving as the next CS taking over from his former boss Richard Wabwire.
