Airtel Uganda joined the Muslim community in Jinja for a special Iftar dinner at the Source of the Nile Hotel, on March 17.
This gathering was part of Airtel’s Nationwide Iftar Campaign 2025, themed ‘Celebrating the Spirit of Ramadan by Fostering Engagement and Community with Airtel Uganda.’
During the event, the Deputy District Khadi, Dr. Balonde Khassim, expressed gratitude for Airtel’s generosity. “Many Muslims use Airtel, and I’ve been on this network since its early days. May God enable you to keep giving back,” he remarked.
Agbus Kagaba, Territory Business Manager for Airtel Jinja, acknowledged the strong relationship between Airtel and the Muslim community. “I sincerely appreciate your tremendous support for Airtel,” he said.
Airtel Money Managing Director, Japheth Aritho, highlighted the company’s deep connection with the community. “Without you, there is no Airtel, and so, we truly have you at heart,” he stated.
He also introduced Airtel’s Sharia-compliant financial solution, designed to respect Islamic teachings on interest-free transactions. “If you need to send money but lack sufficient funds, we can top you up,” he added.
Airtel Uganda’s Nationwide Iftar Campaign continues to reinforce the company’s commitment to inclusivity and community engagement.
By supporting the Muslim community during Ramadan, Airtel underscores its dedication to fostering unity and respect for cultural and religious values. (For comments on this story, get back to us on 0705579994 [WhatsApp line], 0779411734 & 041 4674611 or email us at mulengeranews@gmail.com).
