Britania Allied Industries Limited has scooped five awards at the 2026 East Africa Brand Quality Awards, with three of its brands winning Platinum honours, another taking Gold and its biscuit products securing Silver, in a strong showing for the Ugandan manufacturer.
The awards were presented on October 16, 2026, during the sixth edition of the event held at Hotel Africana and Convention Centre in Kampala, bringing together recognition for Britania’s products across the juice, beverages, sauces and biscuits categories.
YoJus, TopUp and SunSip each won Platinum in the children’s natural fruit juice, tomato sauce and paste, and non-carbonated soft drinks categories, respectively. Splash secured Gold in the natural fruits beverages category, while Britania Biscuits received Silver in confectionery and biscuit products.
The five awards mark a significant milestone for the company, whose products serve different consumer needs, from juices and soft drinks to sauces used in everyday meals and biscuits enjoyed as snacks.
The recognition, Britania, reflects the strength of its diverse product portfolio and its continued efforts to maintain quality across the brands competing for space in Uganda’s increasingly competitive consumer goods market.
“Every brand in our portfolio carries a responsibility to the consumer and to the Britania name behind it. Receiving five awards is a proud moment, but our daily task remains the same: to make products people can rely on. That responsibility belongs to every part of our business,” said Ali Ebraik, CEO of the company, after scooping the awards.
The company attributed the achievement to the combined efforts of its manufacturing, quality assurance, sales, marketing and distribution teams, saying each plays a role in ensuring that products meet expected standards and reach consumers through retail outlets.
The awards also offer Britania an opportunity to strengthen the visibility of its wider portfolio, particularly among consumers who may be familiar with one brand without necessarily knowing the other products produced by the company.
Marketing Manager Victor Akatwijuka said the company wants the recognition earned by individual brands to strengthen consumer confidence in the entire Britania family.
“Consumers may first know us through Splash, YoJus, TopUp, SunSip or our biscuits. We want every positive experience with those products to build their confidence in Britania. These awards celebrate the individual brands and help tell the larger story of the company behind them,” Akatwijuka said.
Britania said it would continue focusing on manufacturing standards, product innovation and consumer satisfaction as it seeks to sustain the performance of its brands and maintain consumer confidence.
The five awards bring together recognition for different products under one company, with three Platinum honours leading the haul, followed by Gold and Silver.
