Access to Vehicle Ownership Expands Under New dfcu Bank and CFAO Mobility Partnership

dfcu Bank and CFAO Mobility Uganda today officially announced a vehicle asset-financing partnership aimed at increasing access to vehicle ownership through structured asset financing, bringing together one of Uganda’s leading financial institutions and the country’s leading mobility solutions provider.

The partnership was announced during the launch of the all-new Toyota RAV4 and Toyota Land Cruiser FJ, held at the Toyota showroom on 1st Street, Industrial Area in Kampala. The partnership introduces an acquisition offer that combines vehicle financing with ownership benefits, giving customers a more accessible route to acquiring new Toyota vehicles.

Under the offer, qualifying customers will be able to access financing of up to 100% of vehicle value at a preferential interest rate of 17% per annum, with repayment periods of up to 84 months, subject to credit assessment and campaign terms.

The acquisition package also includes one year of free fuel, five years of free service, discounts on comprehensive insurance and one year of roadside assistance. Additional benefits include travel booking discounts, health insurance for two loved ones and VIP lounge access for eligible cardholders, subject to the applicable offer terms.

The two vehicle models bring distinct strengths to the already exciting offer. The new RAV4 combines hybrid efficiency with comfort, Toyota’s Advanced safety technology and everyday versatility. The Land Cruiser FJ brings Land Cruiser heritage into a compact SUV, with durability and terrain capability suited to daily use and journeys beyond the city.

The partnership addresses one of the most persistent barriers to vehicle acquisition: the significant upfront capital required to purchase a new vehicle. For professionals, entrepreneurs and businesses, the cost of a new vehicle can compete with working capital and other investment priorities. The partnership extends dfcu’s Vehicle and Asset Finance offering to customers seeking brand new vehicles from CFAO mobility, allowing them to spread acquisition costs while retaining funds for operations and growth.

The agreement with CFAO Mobility Uganda extends that approach to customers seeking brand-new Toyota vehicles through a financing structure designed to reduce initial acquisition costs and spread repayments over a longer period.

Charles Mudiwa, Chief Executive Officer at dfcu Bank, said the partnership is grounded in the Bank’s longstanding belief that access to productive assets is one of the strongest catalysts for economic growth.

“Throughout our history, we have seen how access to the right asset can transform an individual’s livelihood or accelerate the growth of a business. The challenge is often not whether the asset is needed, but whether customers can commit significant capital to acquire it at once. Asset finance provides an alternative by allowing customers to acquire those assets while preserving funds for operations, expansion and other priorities. This partnership with CFAO Mobility Uganda enables us to extend that support to customers seeking dependable mobility solutions.”

Etienne Audeoud, Managing Director of CFAO Mobility Uganda, said customers increasingly evaluate ownership costs, maintenance support and financing options alongside the vehicle itself.

“Customers want certainty throughout the ownership experience. They want a quality vehicle, professional support after purchase and financing that is practical for their circumstances. Through this partnership, we are combining those elements in a way that makes vehicle acquisition more accessible and convenient.”

As demand for reliable mobility solutions continues to grow, the partnership positions dfcu Bank and CFAO Mobility Uganda to help more individuals and businesses move forward with confidence. By combining trusted vehicle brands with accessible, long-term financing, the collaboration removes traditional barriers to ownership and reinforces the role both organizations play in enabling economic participation, business growth and personal progress across Uganda.
