On Monday, the Deputy IGG Ann Muhairwe addressed Kibuli SS students, an interaction during which she called on them to be proud of their school, which she said during her time wasn’t an easy academic institution to secure admission into.
Muhairwe was here to preside over the launching ceremony for the Integrity Ambassadors Club, which is a platform through which the GoU seeks to increase and arouse young people’s keenness to participate in the fight against corruption.
The IG officials have already been to several schools launching similar clubs, an exercise that will ultimately culminate into the unveiling of the massive integrity movement across Uganda.
In her address Muhairwe, who studied at Nsambya and Bweranyange Girls school for her secondary education before enrolling at Makerere’s prestigious Law School, registered her admiration for some of her fellow big people in government who always proudly tell her how they were trained, mentored and bred at Kibuli SS.
These include Court of Appeal Justice Musa Sekaana and PSST Ramathan Goobi. She explained how the duo is always sharing fond memories of their days and times at Kibuli SS. That Sekaana always says he wouldn’t be the great jurist he is today if it wasn’t for the strong foundation he had while at Kibuli SS.
Muhairwe also rode on what the school headmaster Mr. Ibrahim Ssemakadde had revealed in an earlier speech to the effect that her boss, Lady Justice Aisha Naluze Butali, currently has a child at Kibuli SS, to corroborate her point that indeed this remains one of the best academic giants in Uganda.
