Renowned women empowerment advocate Dr. Aisha Ruth Kasolo Biyinzika has delivered a strong and emotional message to people who forget those who once supported them.
In her latest remarks, Dr. Kasolo expressed deep concern over a growing trend where individuals receive help during difficult times, achieve success, and then turn against the very people who stood by them. She noted that many well-meaning people sacrifice their time, money, and energy to support others in challenging circumstances, helping them travel abroad, secure jobs, or achieve major breakthroughs in life.
However, she said it is painful and heartbreaking when those beneficiaries later betray their supporters. According to her, some even go as far as speaking negatively about the people who helped them, portraying them as bad or unkind despite the sacrifices made for their success.
Dr. Kasolo stressed that nothing hurts more than supporting someone wholeheartedly only for them to repay kindness with insults, disrespect, or silence. She warned that such behavior reflects poor character and a lack of gratitude.
In a firm message directed at those who have forgotten their helpers, she cautioned that time exposes character and that those who mistreat their benefactors should reflect on their actions and change. She urged them to “style up,” appreciate the hands that lifted them, and correct their behavior before it is too late.
She further encouraged people to develop a culture of gratitude and loyalty, emphasizing that success should never erase the memory of those who opened doors along the way.
Her remarks have sparked conversation among many who believe gratitude is rare in today’s world, while others say her message serves as a timely reminder that true success is not just about achievements, but also about character.
