Dr Aisha Ruth Kasolo, the GROW Project Coordinator, has stirred strong reactions after sharing bold relationship advice in a TikTok video aimed at young men.
In the video, Dr Kasolo urged young men to use their youth wisely by building a strong foundation that can lead to financial independence and stable family life. She warned that youth is a crucial time to prepare for the future and not to waste it on risky relationships.
She advised young men to avoid dating older women, explaining that they may not have enough experience, money, or maturity to manage such relationships. Dr Kasolo argued that young men are not yet ready to support older partners financially or emotionally, and that such relationships can lead to unnecessary pressure and complications.
Instead, she encouraged them to look for girls or ladies younger than themselves, who can listen, learn, and grow together with them. She said young couples should build their future side by side, supporting each other through growth and development.
Her message has sparked debate online, with some praising her for promoting financial responsibility and maturity among young men. Others, however, criticized the advice as controversial and dismissive of older women’s value.
But Dr Aisha Ruth Kasolo defended her stance, saying her goal is to guide young men toward a better future by encouraging them to focus on self-development before entering complex relationships.
As the video continues to circulate, many young men are being challenged to rethink their choices and prioritize building a strong foundation for the future.
