The decision by ex-Rwampara MP Vincent Kyamadidi to leave NRM and join FDC has created massive excitement in the leading opposition party. And especially the youthful expect that Kyamadidi, famous for his defiant politics, will re-energize the party’s support in especially Rwampara area and the rest of the Greater Mbarara parts. In a media release, Walid Lubega Mulindwa, the very influential FDC youth league central region chairman has epitomized the feeling in the party. The following is Lubega’s statement welcoming Kyamadidi to the party of the brave (as some call it sometimes);
VERBATIM;
On my own behalf and on behalf of the FDC National Youth League leadership, we warmly welcome The Hon. Vincent Mujuni Kyamadidi the former NRM Rwampara County MP in the 9th Parliament to the mighty Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Party.
In a special way, we thank the FDC leadership led by Party President Hon Eng Patrick Amuriat Oboi for fishing for us Hon Kyamadidi to the FDC fold. It takes foresighted leadership to attract such people to FDC. Indeed for us who voted Hon. Amuriat Oboi as our Party President in November, we saw in him leadership for accerelated development .he has not let us down with less than 3months in office, he has added on FDC numbers with qualitative addition. Bravo POA the leader with actions. You have made us proud.indeed we never made loss by voting you. you have given new life to FDC. indeed FDC is here to stay.
Our National Youth League leadership is ready to work with Hon Kyamadidi and his people to broaden the FDC influence and support base not only in Rwampara, Mbarara, Ankole ,western region but Uganda nationally.POA tembeya FDC, FDC tuko tayaari for power.
