WHY BOBI WINE REGRETS BESIGYE, BULANGE SIEGE

By Simon Turibamwe

The leader of People Power Robert Kyagulanyi (aka Bobi Wine), has condemned the Saturday Morning situation at Bulange where Dr. Kizza Besigye came face to face with a small crowd that claimed to be supporters of People Power. In his own statement Bobi Wine distanced himself from this group saying that their action is not the style of People Power because people power values peace and respect. Bobi wine states that people power needs Besigye so much because he is very vital in the struggle to liberate this country and therefore any insult on him is an insult on all forces of change. As we earlier reported, Besigye was coming from CBS radio where Med Nsereko had featured him on Parliament Yaffe program, but on his way out he found a small crowd outside chanting twagala Bobi Wine si Besigye (Loosely meaning we want Bobi Wine not Besigye). Bobi wine has since reminded those who confronted Besigye to give him full respect because he understands well the politics of Uganda and has struggled a lot for the opposition to liberate this country.

He added that confrontational and fist-fighting is not the style of politics People power wants but everything should be peaceful and polite.

“Confronting or undermining fellows is not the style of people power, we want everything we do to be peaceful so that whoever wants to attack people power is silenced,” Stated Bobi Wine.

He added that people power is already investigating those who participated on whose interest they served or what the intention was because people power believes in team in togetherness not confrontational.

 NO REGRETS

Bobi Wine’s regrets and appeal fell on deaf ears of his supporters led by Abel Kabugo and James Mubiru, who in turn said that they don’t regret their action because they wanted to show Besigye that they are tired of him.

The duo say that Besigye should support Bobi Wine or return to NRM to pave way for the youthful leader. “We did this on our own to demonstrate our dissatisfaction with Dr. Besigye whom we have supported for the last 20 years but still fighting to be on top of Uganda’s opposition politics,” Said Kabugo.

KB FANS SPEAK OUT

Makolo Kavuma of FDC’s Ground to Ground Force that is responsible for Besigye’s security has fired back at People Power supporters saying that there is no any other person in Uganda who understands politics better than Besigye. Makolo said that not even the youth can understand the country’s politics than Besigye and should not compare politics with Music concerts or comedy shows.

Makolo noted that: “Don’t compare politics with concerts or comedy shows, for us we know the politics and the game you have started we know it better than all.” Med Musisi who is said to have been in Besigye’s rescue team said that as FDC and Opposition have always known their only enemy to be Museveni and his NRM but Bulange incident has brought it to limelight that People power’s target is to remove Besigye first. He warned that people power should go slow on attacking Besigye because FDC’s Ground to Ground Force (GGF) is on alert to avert any situation. For comments, call or text us on 0752510225.
