During a recent twitter spaces discussion, exiled ULS President Isaac Ssemakadde was required to explain himself on claims that he had reached out to the jailed Eron Kiiza inappropriately proposing that he apologizes to some powerful people in the government and military in order to regain his freedom.
Ssemakadde, clearly angered by such questioning, said he wasn’t at liberty to comment on something like that because the rules governing attorney-client relations and confidentiality prohibit him from doing so. He said he will only give his side of the story on that saga after having a private conversation with his client Eron Kiiza.
He said that depending on the outcome of their consultative discussion with Eron Kiiza, he will go public on that matter while deciding whether to continue treating Eron Kiiza as an enemy or a friendly force he has always been.
Ssemakadde was also remarkably furious and had no kind words for the likes of Agatha Atuheire, Toko, fellow lawyer Frank Kanduho and others for amplifying what he called a distorted narrative that he had tried to take advantage of jailed Eron Kiiza’s vulnerability to push him into unprincipled deal-making of some sort. Saying he has nothing to hide, Ssemakadde said that he will tell all the details to the world at the right time regarding the Eron Kiiza betrayal allegations.
