Reliable inside sources within NRM have confided in Mulengera news website how the party intends to economically rehabilitate hundreds of youthful staffers or employees currently being retrenched. Because they run government under YK Museveni, who also happens to be their party chairman, the NRM gurus believe their supporters are entitled to employment within government MDAs. This is why the guys being disgracefully expelled after going 9 months without pay aren’t angry. It’s because they have been promised to be supported to integrate in the mainstream government employment. Secretary General Kasule Lumumba gives credence to this by saying there is nothing wrong with NRM party using its connections in government to recommend its sacked staff to be deployed in public service positions. “They are qualified and well experienced and they don’t suffer from ideological disorientation,” says Lumumba. NRM has been employing a total of 419 employees the least paid of whom has been entitled to earn Shs350,000 per month, according to Lumumba.
