In her capacity as the second National Vice Chairperson for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), Speaker Anita Among has continued being deliberate and working towards actualization of her vow to recapture from Bobi Wine’s NUP Busoga sub region and safely deliver it back into the firm grip and control of Gen YK Museveni.
Among, who likes to surprise political foes and isn’t making much effort to attract publicity to her mobilisation efforts, was today once again back to the Busoga trenches with her caravan shutting down the Eastern Uganda district of Namutumba which is home to Minister Parsis Namuganza.
Flanked by area Woman MP Mariam Naigaga, Anita Among stuck to her consistent messaging of calling upon Basoga to forget past petty wranglings, unite and work together to deliver a decisive victory for Gen Museveni who has been President of Uganda for the last 40 years without break.
Remarkably, the size of her crowds has remained impressive and this is something strategists inside Bobi Wine’s NUP ought to critically study as Ugandans count down to the next general elections. Among has maintained that Busoga sub region, from whose Buyende district her husband Moses Magogo hails, is her second home; making it clear she is obliged to amplify efforts aimed at politically rescuing the populous region back to the Movement.
