NRM Secretary General Kasule says she has already reported to the President faulting Party EC Chairman Odoi Tanga for hiding behind the ongoing to restructuring of staff to fight her yet in actual sense the man from Kisoko has always had a crush on her. She says “whenever he looks at my skirt, waist, lipstick and makeup, he fantasizes about many things inside his heart yet for me I’m married. I’m for Mr. Lumumba and that is known by everyone.” While appearing on a city radio talk show Thursday evening, Lumumba advised Tanga to realize that “I’m a well groomed African Musoga lady who must always look good, seductive and appetizing but that is strictly for my husband and not any other man. This is the reality Tanga has failed to come to terms with.” Lumumba said “since I took office and became Secretary General, Mr. Tanga is always faulting my things whatever I do he criticizes and when we call him to top management meetings to come and substantiate his claims, he doesn’t show up which shows his criticisms are motivated by totally very personal things and not genuine concern for the party. I know this will pain him a lot but time has come for me to publicly inform him that sorry my dear. I’m married and not available anymore.” Lumumba said she is a high profile styled up woman and has no time for low profile males like “Tanga whose only claim to fame is winning the Makerere convocation elections unlike me who has been winning constituency elections thrice in 2001, 2006 and 2011.” She said Tanga is a political failure as seen in the way he was badly rejected by his own people when he stood for MP Seat.
She advised Tanga to “concentrate on his own wife rather than wasting time fantasizing about me who is married and already taken. I know for a fact that he feels pain whenever I go wiggling my waist at the rallies when I’m campaigning for my NRM candidates. It hurts him a lot but what happens beyond that public wiggling is strictly only for my husband.” She dared Tanga to be man enough and tell her about his crush on her rather than “hiding behind alleged mismanagement of the party to make my life hard.” Lumumba told the moderator that one time Tanga reported her to the President : “But my chairman knows protocol and, unknown to Tanga, he referred the matter back to me and I told him ‘sir there are totally personal reasons why that man is fighting me’ and the President said ok you are the SG go and resolve that matter.” Lumumba also said that unlike Tanga for her she isn’t a sycophant who abuses the audience with the president by being a bootlicker reporting other people whenever she meets him. “Tanga is one of the very previledged leaders who often meet the President one on one but he never raises party matters.
He is just there bootlicking telling the boss what he wants to hear which is bad leadership on his part,” Lumumba said during the Luganda talk show. “But as for me I’m a leader and not a sycophant. I have openly criticized my chairman when he makes mistakes.” She gave the example of Mitooma and Kabale elections where she drove to area radio stations and protested the President’s support of independents when the party had flag bearers. “I first objected at the rally where he was and I said sir this is wrong. Yes Gen Otafiire is my personal friend but Kahonda who I don’t even know that much about is the flag bearer and the President listened,” said Lumumba who was accompanied by Rogers Mulindwa and Minister Godfrey Kiwanda. In a related development, Tanga has accused Lumumba of diverting party funds to pay off Kabakumba Matsiko, Salim Uhuru and other NRM district chairpersons who called a news conference to defend her against Tanga criticisms. Tanga says Kabakumba, who corroborated Lumumba’s claim that Tanga likes harassing female colleagues in the NRM party, is jobless and can easily be hired as a mercenary by Lumumba improperly using party money.
