A new WiFi service provider, Jen Internet, is working to bring fast and reliable internet to all Ugandans across the country. The company promises to make internet connection accessible and affordable, addressing the digital gap that leaves many Ugandans disconnected.
Ms. Martha Egesa, the company’s communication officer, said Jen Internet is currently covering greater Kampala, Mukono, and Entebbe, with plans to expand into new regions soon. She emphasized that the company’s packages are designed for everyone, starting as low as UGX 1,000 (1K) for 12 hours, offering stable and fast connections for users who have often been left out by other providers.
Headquartered on the 4th floor of Kira House on Pilkington Road, Kampala, Jen Internet aims to reach towns and villages alike, ensuring that access to the internet is no longer a luxury but a basic service for all. Egesa said the company prioritizes reliability and seamless user experience, making it easy for customers to stay connected whether at home, at work, or on the go.
To access the service, users simply tap their WiFi settings, select the “Jen Internet” network, choose a package, and make payment. The company also maintains an active online presence through its website, www.jeninternet.co.ug, and social media handle, @jenwifi_ug, while sales representatives are available on the ground to assist users.
The company positions itself as a solution to the challenges many Ugandans face with high internet costs and limited access, offering affordable, dependable, and fast connectivity to bridge the digital divide in the country.
