On September 26, 2025, during a prestigious ceremony at King Solomon Church, Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Kanungu District, Ahimbisibwe Gad Rugaju, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Ministry (D.Min) in Executive and Organizational Leadership by Immanuel Theology Educational Institute, South Africa.
This recognition honors his selfless leadership, unwavering commitment to combating impunity and corruption, and advocacy for the voiceless in his community.

Mr. Rugaju, born on September 6, 1975, has a rich history of service and dedication to his community. As the founder and director of Amaranth For Life Network (AMANET), he has worked tirelessly to improve lives and promote sustainable development. His professional journey includes significant roles such as:

▪️ Trainer at the International Centre for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF)
▪️. Program Manager for Samaritan Purse International Relief Organization
▪️. National Coordinator for the Participatory Evaluation Process (PEP)
▪️. Section Head of Higher Institutions of Learning at the Internal Security Organization (ISO) within the President’s Office
▪️. Deputy RDC at the Office of the President
▪️. National Advisor for the National Fellowship of Born Again Churches in Uganda (NFBAC)

Dr. Rugaju is highly experienced in security matters, leadership management and administration, monitoring government programs, religious affairs, and community development initiatives. His multifaceted expertise has significantly contributed to his effectiveness in these roles.

In addition to his practical experience, Dr. Rugaju’s academic credentials are equally impressive. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Adult and Community Development Education from Makerere University and a Master’s degree in Management, Leadership, and Administration from Breakthrough International Christian University, USA.

He is currently completing his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organizational Leadership from Northwestern Christian University, USA, with his dissertation finalized and graduation set for October 2025. He also possesses an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership Management.

Upon receiving his award, Dr. Rugaju remarked,  “This recognition is not about me as an individual, but about the values of integrity, service, and accountability that we must all uphold in leadership. I dedicate this award to the people of Kanungu and Uganda at large.”

The awarding institution, Immanuel Theology Educational Institute International, is dedicated to equipping leaders within the Pentecostal and Charismatic faith.

Founded over 15 years ago, it has expanded to include more than 50 campuses and over 14,000 graduates worldwide, reinforcing its mission to inspire transformation in communities.

Dr. Rugaju’s achievement not only reflects his personal dedication to leadership and service but also serves as a proud moment for Kanungu District and Uganda. His work exemplifies the impact of committed individuals on their communities, highlighting the country’s potential for positive change.

The ceremony also recognized Pastor Dr. Prof. Solomon Mwesige, owner of Good News Church Burenga, CEO of KS TV, Director of King Solomon Schools, and President of Feed the Hungry East Africa, who was awarded the Chancellorship at King Solomon Church.

The award was presented by Prof. Obateye Olusesi Michael, International Coordinator of the Perspective Leadership Development Institute (PLDI) in Nigeria and the Leadership Empowerment International Conferences (LEIC) 2025 in Uganda, a subsidiary of Immanuel Theoretical University in Nigeria.
