As elected representatives of the people, Members of Parliament are entrusted with the responsibility of serving the nation, often requiring extensive travel across the country.
Given the challenging road conditions and long distances involved, providing a reliable and safe vehicle is essential for them to carry out their duties efficiently.
The allocated funds will enable MPs to acquire sturdy vehicles that can withstand Uganda’s diverse terrain, ensuring they can effectively engage with constituents, attend Parliamentary sessions and oversee government projects without undue hindrance.
This is not a luxury, but a necessity for them to perform their duties effectively. We should view this as an investment in their ability to serve the people, rather than a personal benefit.
Let’s focus on the bigger picture, which is enabling our leaders to serve Uganda with ease and efficiency.
