David Mutatina is spending the weekend behind bars after ISO operatives, alerted by Vision Group CEO Robert Kabushenga, had him apprehended. Claiming to be working on orders and under instructions of Lt Col Joseph Aliganyira, who heads the political desk at ISO, Mutatina went to Kabushenga’s office carrying what he said was the ISO vetting report that had cleared and favored him for appointment as Minister in Museveni’s government. Aliganyira assured Kabushenga that in the alternative he doesn’t become minister, he would be made a PS, Secretary to Cabinet/Head Public Service or Attorney General. Vision Group insiders say Kabushenga was originally excited as Mutatina’s paper work, actually forged at Nasser Road, looked authentic. He, however, smelt a rat when Mutatina asked for some token of appreciation as he left his office. This irked Kabushenga who reacted by calling Joseph Aliganyira for confirmation if Mutatina indeed worked with ISO. It turned out he was among other impostors Aliganyira was looking for. The other accomplishes are David Nuwagaba and an old woman called Sofia Nakajubi. As you read this, Aliganyira is in jail where Nakawa Chief Magistrate Jamson Karemani remanded him on the prompting of State Attorney Annie Ntimba Kairu. He will remain in Luzira up to 30th April. It’s said the trio has been in the business of trading in fake cabinet-related speculation in return for money. For comments, call/text/WhatsApp us on 0703164755!
