All along, former powerful private secretary to the President Suzan Kasingye was working at State House on secondment.
The mother of businessman Justus Kashoma’s children remained a Police Officer but who the Force had seconded to work in State House. Gen Museveni had made her his Special Presidential Advisor (SPA) in charge of Police & Legal Affairs.
Kasingye, whose services at State House were controversially terminated at the beginning of July, hails from Nyabushozi and studied law at Uganda Christian University.
Not very long ago, she rejoined LDC and completed her Bar Course training and quickly enrolled to become a recognized High Court Advocate. She will soon get her first Practicing Certificate.
At State House, Ms Kasingye (who must have been born with a silver spoon in her mouth) excelled at doing the President’s work and distinguished herself as a powerful fixer within such a short time.
The President often referred to her in his public addresses and referred many problem cases to her to handle on his behalf. Naturally, this earned her plenty of enemies at State House where intrigue and infighting is the order of the day.
Even when she was always required to attend many of the President’s meetings, just in case her instant intervention would be required, Kasingye also had a private office opened up for her in the Naguru neighbourhood complete with top notch lawyers, prosecutors and investigative detectives from CID. For more than seven years, she was the overall boss at that well fortified office at Naguru.
At Police headquarters, even her own superiors trembled upon mere mention or hearing of her name which had become synonymous with powerfulness.
Upon being relieved of her duties, Kasingye was formally released from the State House service and sent back to Police headquarters in Naguru to be assigned fresh duties, because that primarily is where she belongs.
Upon arrival, the now stinking rich Kasingye (knowledgeable sources say she is now a billionaire) was deployed by the Police top leadership to go and work at Interpol which is based at Kololo.
Gratefully, she has been allowed to go away with the armoured SUV which had been assigned to her while working at State House after it was ascertained that she could potentially be a target of rogue-minded actors.
At the swanky SPA Naguru offices, the President is yet name Suzan Kasingye’s successor though work continues going on as always. (For comments on this story, get back to us on 0705579994 [WhatsApp line], 0779411734 & 041 4674611 or email us at mulengeranews@gmail.com).
