Dr Aisha Ruth Kasolo Biyinzika, the GROW-Project Coordinator, has sparked massive debate on social media after releasing a strong and emotional message that has left many people talking.
Dr Kasolo is a highly educated woman with a Doctorate in Business Administration, a Master’s Degree, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Known for her classy appearance and confidence, she shocked many when she shifted from professional discussions to openly addressing lifestyle issues affecting young girls and women.
In a viral TikTok video delivered in Luganda, Dr Kasolo strongly criticized what she described as cheap girls who demand expensive lifestyles they cannot afford. Dressed in a stylish green outfit, the beautiful brown-skinned doctor expressed deep disappointment over the behavior of some young women in society.
She explained that many poor girls exaggerate their status and behave like high-class ladies despite having nothing. According to her, such girls are extremely picky and demanding, yet they do not work for what they want. She pointed out that some girls go on dates with men and then order almost every type of food and drink in restaurants, even though they cannot afford to pay for those items themselves.
Dr Kasolo urged these girls to improve their standards and stop demanding things beyond their means. She emphasized that it is shameful for someone to desire a luxurious lifestyle without having the ability to support it financially.
She further advised young women to go out and work for their own money instead of depending on men for survival. She warned that becoming a burden to men and people around them due to laziness and unrealistic demands is wrong and unacceptable.
Dr Kasolo stressed that self-respect comes from self-effort, adding that any woman who wants a good life must be ready to work hard for it rather than expecting others to provide everything.
The video spread quickly across social media platforms and triggered heated reactions. While some people praised her for speaking the truth boldly, others felt that her message was too harsh toward poor girls.
Despite the divided opinions, Dr Kasolo’s message has clearly hit hard. It has forced a serious public discussion about self-worth, hard work, and unrealistic lifestyle expectations among young women today.
