Preliminary results trickling in from Ndorwa West Constituency indicate that the long-serving MP David Bahati, who is also a Minister in Gen Museveni’s government, hasn’t survived the winds of political tsunami that have been threatening to sweep through his part of Kigezi.
David Bahati has evidently been massacred in the NRM primaries as voters seem to have concluded that it was time for someome else to come in, serve and eat also.
Results from the 8 Sub Counties of Kamugani, Kitumba, Katuna, Kibuga, Rubaya, Kahungye, Butanda and Ryakarimi indicate that Kampala lawyer Eliab Naturinda is leading with 24,968 votes against Bavid Bahati’s 23,589.
