In a thought-provoking statement, the President of the Democratic Front Political Party Rt. Hon. Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba has made a stern reminder to Uganda’s opposition: it’s time to get serious.
Mpuuga identified three strands within the opposition to wit; (a) those fixated on power, (b) those focused on policy, and (c) those using politics as a platform.
Mpuuga stressed that being in opposition isn’t just about sloganeering, but a critical component of democracy. “The opposition needs to understand the seriousness of the obligation that we put on ourselves,” he emphasized, urging a more strategic approach to governance.
The Brain trust made the remarks while appearing on NBS Morning Breeze, emphasizing the opposition’s need for coherent leadership to drive meaningful change in Uganda.
