UPDF Spokesman Lt Col Deo Akiiki has been reported to his defense superiors by his in-laws who accuse him of acting dishonestly regarding the ownership of the domestic house found in Ttuula Kawempe Division which was his marital home with their daughter Sarah Takoberwa. Akiiki’s mother in law Aidah Nabirye says her daughter contributed her hard earned Shs14m and Akiiki added the balance to purchase the matrimonial house at Shs45m in 2014. Having lost her conjugal rights to much younger and warmer Mercy Kansiime Wamahoro, Takoberwa isn’t prepared to also lose out on her share of the house to which she so painfully contributed. She has since reported to CDF Gen David Muhoozi and Defense Minister Adolf Mwesige.

The duo has since assigned Brig George Igumba to oversee the investigations into Takoberwa’s complaint against Akiiki who on 22nd June 2018 had to overcome resistence from his junior Maj Gerald Bamwitirebye to officially wed his Mercy Wamahoro Kansiime at Our Lady of Africa Catholic Church in Mbuya. Takoberwa’s family members are now demanding decisive disciplinary action against Lt Col Akiiki saying this is the only way zero tolerance to impunity will be exhibited by the UPDF defense leadership. Akiiki denies any wrongdoing and says the Ttuula house was a rented property to which Takoberwa couldn’t have contributed. For comments, call,text/Whatsapp us on 0703164755.
