Having run an unofficial relationship since 2015, NRM Sironko district chairman and also proprietor of Kampala Modernity Car bond in Bugolobi Suleiman Lumolo Mafabi has finally wedded his secret lover Barbara Nekesa. Bubbly Nekesa has, since losing her Busia Woman MP Seat in 2016, been serving as Uganda’s Ambassador to South Africa where President Museveni deployed her after removal from cabinet. She was dropped in the June 2016 reshuffle having deputized Janet Museveni for the Karamoja docket for 5 years. The colorful ceremony was held at previously-married Lumolo’s plush home in Muyenga. Like Lumolo, Nekesa was previously married to Mr. Oundo, a diplomat with whom she acrimoniously parted ways amidst allegations of infidelity. When still minister and MP, gorgeous Nekesa always attracted envy of men to the extent that there are ministers (young and old) that have never talked again after suspecting each other of eyeing the same lady. A youthful minister from Kyaggwe and another from Western Uganda have never talked up to this day after they each unsuccessfully tried to get a piece of Lady Nekesa. Ironically, another wealthy elderly Minister hated both of them falsely suspecting that his failure at succeeding with Nekesa was because one of them succeeded. Accordingly none of these male admirers was anywhere near the Munyonyo venue where the two had their engagement witnessed by carefully selected friends and relatives. Though he is publicly thought to be wealthy and some say it was his riches that attracted Lady Nekesa (who was clearly struggling having lost her MP Seat), insiders say Lumolo too is financially not doing well as he used to because of the many debts including those arising from NRM party’s failure to pay for the campaign materials he supplied them since the days of JPAM as Secretary General.
