Following the last weekend incident in Mubende where ordinary Ugandans attempted lynching him for criticizing NUP during an NRM gathering, Bukoto South MP Twaha Kagabo, who controversially left the Kavule party for PLU, has reached out to CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba saying he now qualifies for special protection.
Kagabo says he won’t be able to freely campaign for re-election unless if he is secured by SFC commandos as there are many NUP goons, as he calls them, who want him dead. That they are angry and don’t want to hear him explain the NUP weaknesses which forced him to decamp for NRM-affiliated PLU.
He says that wherever he goes, according to Weekend Vision, people converge to demand that he explains why he left NUP for NRM. That when he explains, the facts turn out to be too painful for such people to stomach which is why they react with violence.
This is why he is demanding for protection to enable him to continue moving around freely to explain the NRM/PLU message while demonizing NUP without any of its ‘goons’ being able to harm him like they tried to do in Mubende moreover during an NRM rally.
