MIRUNDI ADVISES BOBI: AVOID MAO OR ELSE YOU ARE POLITICALLY FINISHED

Controversial political analyst Tamale Mirundi has contemptuously likened DP President General Norbert Mao to “a political landmine” from which Bobi Wine must detach himself if he doesn’t want his political career to end prematurely. Appearing on Dunstan Busuulwa’s 89.6fm Top Radio this Monday evening, Mirundi said it was regrettable that even when Mao’s being a 5th columnist in the opposition being well known, “Bobi Wine could still walk into that trap set for him by people who are well know mafia actors.” Mirundi said failing to discern Mao’s unreliability had confirmed his long held suspicion that “this man Bobi Wine is an amateur and a political novice.” Mirundi said in Luganda Bobi’s lack of political sophistication is called “kikalampenge.” Saying Mao is a political failure who can only destroy Bobi Wine as opposed to adding anything to him, Mirundi said the DP President reached his political menopause stage the moment he stood for Presidency in 2011 and got very few votes despite coming under the flag of the oldest party in the country. “How does he lead DP for all these years without bringing on board any big name defector from either NRM or UPC? He can only bring his fellow political failures like Abed Bwanika who is like a rabbit. Then this Mukaku what is his claim to fame? He is like dry banana leaves which can’t cook even simple food. It’s like rats coming together to produce as much milk as the Frisian.” Mirundi ranted on saying Mao is being used to weaken Bobi Wine and alienate him from some people who know Mao’s best kept secrets. “I know that man inside and out. Who funded his campaigns in 2011? He is a 5th columnist working for the mafias to destroy Bobi. How come Bobi Wine is only allowed to talk on functions organized by Mao? What’s the trick behind this? Elsewhere they don’t allow him to talk. I advise him to stop being a novice and realize that People Power is now like a religion. He doesn’t have to go be with Mao, Bwanika, Mabikke and Mukaku who are discredited. Even if he sits home, things will do themselves because People Power has now become a religion deep in people’s hearts. He gains nothing from DP Bloc but the Maos gain.” He said the Bwanikas are politically cursed and through associating with them, Mr. Wine risks inheriting political curses he may never be able to disengage himself from. Mirundi went as far demanding that Mao immediately ceases to be DP President “because he is a political failure just like Besigye.” Mirundi went on: “In normal situations when you lose so badly, you leave the party leadership. If he continues clinging on the DP seat I will call on Ugandans to rise up and force him out mob justice-style. I will start a crusade called save Bobi Wine from Mao. It’s because Bobi Wine is a novice but by now he must know that the mafia are using Mao to capture and neutralize him politically.” Mirundi said Bobi Wine’s involvement brings a lot of momentum to DP functions and credit for all this goes to Mao since he is the party president. Saying he agrees with what Muwanga Kivumbi said about the DP leader, Mirundi challenged Mao to reveal where his broke DP faction got the money for the glamorous function at Hotel Africana last week to disprove his view that it was funded by people not interested in a strong opposition. He said wherever he sees Mabikke, he just concludes that project is about money. He claimed that the former Makindye East MP was given a juicy job to be the lawyer for Pioneer Buses Ltd after the big person behind that company lured him to abandon his MP Seat for Mayorship in 2011. He advised those still duped to believe in DP to learn from President Museveni whom he said believes in moving on rather than being stuck on groups or names that fail to deliver results. “He had Fronasa which he abandoned for UPM in 1980 to suit the changing times and when going to the bush, the same thing metamorphosed into NRA which led him to power for now 34 years. This is something Bobi Wine should emulate,” Mirundi said adding that the problem Mr. Wine is surrounded by people who aren’t interested in reading history. “Otherwise they should be reading the Mustard Seed to see some of the good ideas they can adopt from my boss the President.”
