Leading a group of other young MPs from Uganda, Kyadondo East MP Bobi Wine Kyagulanyi Sentamu is being expected in Kenya where he will address rallies and speak to inspire the young people at public engagements for five days. The revelation has been made by Kenyan young MP Owino Babu (Embakasi East County) who is the secretary general of the coalition of young Kenyan MPs. He says Mr. Wine is now a great asset East Africa must use to awaken the political consciousness of the young people to begin vying for leadership positions. Mr. Wine’s five day tour will end on Saturday 13th October with a culmination into a mammoth rally at Jacaranda grounds where MP Babu is widely expected to announce his ambition to contest for the Kenyan presidency in 2021. Below we reproduce Hon. Owino Babu’s latest statement on Bobi:

VERBATIM;
ON “BOBBI WINE” VISITS KENYA – MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT SET FOR SATURDAY IN JACARANDA GROUNDS, EMBAKASI EAST REPUBLIC
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Good evening! I greet you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I wish to take this opportunity to announce to the nation that the Honorable Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as “Bobbi Wine,” will be leading a delegation of young Ugandan Members of Parliament to Kenya this Moi Day, Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 for a five day official visit. This visit is in response to an invitation I extended as Secretary General of the Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association out of profound respect for the role Honorable Kyangulanyi is playing in inspiring young people across the continent. During Honorable Kyagulanyi’s stay, we will collectively engage with various stakeholders to advance the youth agenda within African democracies. The purpose of this visit is therefore to initiate the development of linkages between like-minded youth leaders across he continent with a view to improving youth participation in respective democracies.
Over these five days, together with the Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association, we will engage with the University student community, the civil society, young grassroots community leaders and the press. It is my hope that through this process, we will begin a conversation as the young people of Africa about our future and our role in defining that future. The peak of this engagement will be a meet the people tour of Embakasi East constituency culminating in a public rally in Jacaranda Grounds on Saturday, October 13th at 2:00pm where I will make an earth shaking announcement. I invite you all to be a part of this experience and I pray that the resulting knowledge transfer will open a new chapter in how young people view politics in the continent. God bless Uganda, God bless Kenya, God bless Africa! Signed and dated,
Hon Babu Owino, MP, Embakasi East.
