CMI CONFISCATES GEN KAYIHURA PASSPORT

Gen Kale Kayihura continues to lead a very uncertain life at his farm in Lyantonde after many of his loyal aides in the Uganda Police Force getting gradually harvested by both ISO and CMI in the ongoing purge in the force he once proudly commanded as IGP. The latest information reaching this news website indicates that the General’s passport was recently forcefully taken away from him and its being kept by CMI bosses under the close supervision of CDF Gen David Muhoozi. Media reports recently indicated that Gen Kayihura had been blocked at Entebbe Airport and prevented from leaving the country. He had requested Gen Muhoozi for permission to travel abroad for medical treatment but the CDF declined saying he didn’t have authority to allow or disallow him. “Gen Kayihura you are my senior. Me I deal with Division commanders but in your case, permission must be secured from CiC [Commander-in-Chief] and I politely advise that you reach out to him,” sources quoted Muhoozi as respectfully telling Kayihura. We couldn’t readily establish if Kayihura did or didn’t try to seek permission of the President who is the CiC. What we are certain of is that part of the reason why information easily became available that Gen Kayihura was travelling was because a Mbale-based tycoon, who was supposed to escort him, went about telling everybody about the impending flight of the ex-IGP and this enabled authorities to prepare early on how to block him from leaving the country. We have also reliably established that Gen Kayihura has since been abandoned by many of the people he helped and even his own aides have since shunned him. It’s currently only a one Naluswa who is still sticking to him. A combined force of SFC, ISO and CMI oversee security at his farm house and the surrounding areas to ensure the General doesn’t do a Besigye and catch them off guard. A few days ago, the General rang one of his old friends who is a renowned outspoken Museveni supporter to visit him at the farm and had even offered to fuel the official’s car. However, the official developed cold feet and told Gen Kayihura “I’m sorry I fear to come that side because that place isn’t safe anymore; there is a lot of surveillance.” Gen Kayihura reportedly told the official “okay let me die in my house here and don’t be surprised if I’m found dead in this place one of these days because the anxiety and loneliness is becoming too much.” In a related development, new IGP Okoth Ochora will on 21st June travel to Algeria to follow up on the police-related bilateral initiatives his predecessor Kale Kayihura left in place. He will most likely be received by Kayihura’s former PA Jonathan Barooza who works with Afripol.
