POLICE’ ENANGA INTIMIDATES MATHIAS WALUKAGA OUT OF HIS NABBINGO HOME: SINGER ASKED TO SURRENDER OR BE PICKED LIKE GRASSHOPPER
By Mulengera Reporters
In a Saturday phone interview with Mulengera News, singer Mathias Walukagga nervously claimed he had fled his home to hide from security operatives who are out to harvest him on grounds that he used his celebrity status to incite violence in Jinja where he drove to join fellow NUP diehards to camp outside the Nalufenya detention facility to demand the release of their Principal Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu.
Walukagga says that on hearing that Fred Enanga had said he has a case to answer and security was interested in him, he picked his phone on return to Kampala Friday evening and rang the humble police spokesman. “He never picked my calls but watched the news on Bukedde TV that I was finally back to Kampala. He has been ringing me this [Saturday] morning demanding that I report myself to a police commander called [Col Serunjogi] Ddamulira who unfortunately I don’t even know where he sits.”
Walukagga said that as he waits for his fate, he had decided to abandon his home and hide somewhere in the hope that police authorities will somehow forget about him so that he resumes his campaigns for the Kyengera-Nsangi town council Mayorship. The Kadongo Kamu maestro says he is surprised with Enanga’s insistence that he hands himself over to Police “because I’m the one who was wronged through the torture and teargasing Enanga’s men subjected me to while in Jinja.”
