MANUFACTURERS BEHIND 14 FAKE SANITIZERS ON UGANDA MARKET UNMASKED (AVOID BUYING THEM)
By Mulengera Reporters
In pursuit of its regulatory mandate, the National Drug Authority (NDA) has come up with a list of manufacturers of unsafe sanitizers and urged the Coronavirus-frightened public to avoid buying them however cheap they may seem. Ugandans are subsequently urged to make use of NDA’s feedback lines to instantly report any dealer that is found anywhere in Uganda trading in such fake brands.
In a latest media statement sent to us this Friday evening by NDA head communications Fredrick Sekyana, top management reveals that they recently subjected several sanitizer products to an assessment process at the end of which genuine manufacturers were identified and permitted to carry on with their lawful trading activities while the unfit ones (call them fake) were asked to halt their production until they achieve the necessary levels of compliance and get certified as compliant by NDA as dully mandated under the provisions of NDA Act.
