All is set for the Housing Finance Bank (HFB) webinar that will bring together main players in the field of digital financial services to discuss the impact of digitization on economic growth and enhance the utilization of digitization as the “new normal.”

Housing Finance Bank’s webinar comes at a time when the Covid19 pandemic has become a huge challenge for global socio-economic growth and development. By working with finance industry counterparts and other players to put together the e-conference, Housing Finance Bank hopes to drive “thought leadership around digitization as cash light on the economy through digitization” as Ugandans transition from physical operations to the digital way of doing things.


Slated for July 14, 2020 from 02:30PM to 04:30PM, the webinar will feature a team of experts, including Director for Business Development East Africa, Growth markets Frank Molla; National Information Technology Authority, Uganda (NITA-U) Director, Regulation and Legal Services Stella Alibateese; Innovation Village Team Leader CK Japheth; and Housing Finance Bank Head Operations and Business Technology Aggrey Nkuyahaga.


Frank Molla, Director- Business Development East Africa, Growth markets

Frank Molla is a Certified Master Negotiator by Harvard and Strathmore Business School. Molla currently drives Mastercard’s business strategy in East Africa through innovation and technology with the aim of achieving financial inclusion across the East African key markets.  He holds over 15 years’ experience in the cards & payment industry, traversing across geographies and leadership roles. Frank is a graduate of the Harvard Business School (Boston, USA), an Alumni of Nanyang Business School in Singapore and Strathmore Business School in Kenya. Molla is also an alumni of the Harvard Management Mentorship programme, Mastercard Future Leadership Program and Senior Management Leadership Program (SMLP) at Strathmore Business School where he was voted the president of SMLP class of 2019 and represented the Cohorts while at Strathmore Business School.

Stella Alibateese, Director, Regulation and Legal Services, National Information Technology Authority, Uganda (NITA-U)

Stella is the current Director, Regulation and Legal Services, National Information Technology Authority, Uganda (NITA-U) where she provides in-house legal counsel, corporate secretarial services and regulatory oversight in the IT sector. She is a practising advocate for over 22 years with experience in a number of areas the bulk of which is on policy and regulatory matters in the Public Sector where she is in charge of developing laws to support the IT sector. Stella is a GIAC Certified Professional: Law of Data Security and Investigations (GLEG) and an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Manager. She holds a Master of Laws (LLM) University of London UK; Post graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management, Uganda Management Institute Kampala; Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (Dip. LP) – Law Development Centre, Kampala; Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) Faculty of Law, Makerere University, Kampala and has attended several executive courses through her career.


CK Japheth, Team Leader- The Innovation Village

Ck Japheth is a start-up eco-system builder. He is the Team Leader at the Innovation Village; Uganda’s Launchpad for leading Innovators and entrepreneurs co-creating the future through the smart application of technology, to unravel challenges and create unique solutions. He works with mission-oriented entrepreneurs to capture new value from digital—creating products, experiences, and businesses. In under 3 years the Innovation Village has grown to become a community of 110 startups totaling to 2,000 innovators 40% young women building solutions to urgent problems across 10 sectors. He is a strong believer in the transformational impact innovation and entrepreneurship bring to the table.

Aggrey Nkuyahaga, Head Operations and Business Technology, Housing Finance Bank.

Aggrey is the current Head of Operations and Business Technology at HFB, where he leads the Operations and Technology teams to drive the bank’s digital transformation agenda towards a modern digitized and fully automated bank with leadership in operational excellence and superior customer service. He has over 22 years of professional experience in both local and international markets in leading and delivering business process automation and digital transformation projects in financial services, United Nations, and Oil & Gas sectors. 15 years of this experience is in financial services where he has held several technology leadership roles in reputable financial institutions. Aggrey is an alumni of the Management Leadership Program at Strathmore Business School, a Certified Project Manager (PRINCE2), Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in IT Service Management (ITIL), a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a holder of a Master of Science in Computer Science, Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Statistics degree from Makerere University.
