Aidah Nantaba is an assertive politician of the type no one can step on and get away with it at the same time. The former Museveni Minister, who is currently the Kayunga Woman MP, recently had one of her close relatives die on Kyeyo in UAE. Over the past few days, Mama Kayunga has been struggling on how to bring the body back home for burial.
In a bid to get some quick solution, Nantaba stormed the Ministry of Gender & Labor where she was directed to the office of Commissioner Employment who is Milton Turyasingura. A fire-spiting Nantaba demanded that Turyasingura solves her problem immediately or else resign. Turyasingura demanded that Nantaba, who had furnished his office with all the relevant details, gives them time, something the former Minister didn’t readily accept.
Saying she is a VIP, Nantaba demanded instant remedy which Turyasingura couldn’t provide. Feeling she wasn’t being helped enough, Nantaba sought audience with the Ministers at Gender and when she failed to have urgent attention, she resorted to ranting inside the building while threatening to expose political leaders in Uganda who continue to make a killing off the lucrative labor externalization business in UAE and elsewhere in the Arab world.
She has continued making phone calls ringing whoever she believes can help her towards a solution inside government. Since she is their omunene (big person), family members have continued looking at her for a solution so that the body comes to be accorded decent burial.
