A new dental health provider has hit the Ugandan market. Dentcare, a new subsidiary of C-Care Uganda officially launched, promising a significant transformation in dental care delivery across the country.
With 19 operational locations, including its flagship clinic at C-Care Kololo in Nyonyi Gardens, Dentcare is set to redefine the oral health landscape by offering a wide range of treatments and utilizing cutting-edge technology.
The launch of Dentcare comes in response to Uganda’s growing oral health crisis. According to the Ministry of Health, over 75% of adults and 90% of children in Uganda suffer from oral health problems such as tooth decay every year. One key reason for this widespread issue, as highlighted by Uganda’s national oral health policy, is the lack of regular dental checkups. Dentcare aims to address this by making high-quality and comprehensive dental care accessible through its nationwide network.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including OPG machines for accurate diagnostics, Dentcare ensures that Ugandans receive the best care possible. Their services cover a broad spectrum of dental needs, ranging from preventive dentistry to specialized treatments such as orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, and pediatric care.
Dentcare’s core services include:
Preventive Dentistry: Routine cleanings, exams, and education to prevent dental issues.
Orthodontics: Modern solutions for correcting misaligned teeth.
Cosmetic Dentistry: Procedures to enhance the appearance of teeth and smiles.
Oral Surgery: Specialized care for complex dental problems.
Pediatric Dentistry: Focused dental care for children to ensure healthy oral development.
As part of its commitment to promoting oral health awareness, Dentcare has partnered with Colgate to raise community awareness about dental hygiene and preventive care. This partnership aims to reduce the prevalence of oral diseases by educating the public about the importance of regular dental visits.
During the launch, Dentcare’s General Manager, Andrew Mugalu, praised the efforts of the C-Care team for their dedication to improving Uganda’s oral health sector.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the C-Care team for initiating the vision of providing Ugandans with quality dental care services that will promote oral health among both the young and the old,” he said.
Mugalu also called on the public to take responsibility for their oral health by scheduling regular dental visits.
Sheila Aboth, Head of Brand, Marketing, and Communications at C-Care Uganda, emphasized Dentcare’s commitment to affordability and accessibility. “Dentcare is committed to ensuring that Ugandans have access to high-quality dental care services at affordable prices,” she stated.
